I’M NOT CONFUSED

Psalms 71: 1

INTRODUCTION:

1-    Have you ever seen so much confusion before in all your life?

2-  Confusion in families, in school, in government; everywhere you look.

3-    There’s mass confusion!

4-   I’ve never seen the likes; we’re confused about almost every thing.

5-    Politics confuse me most of the time.

6-    Preachers confuse me some of the time, with Jealousy, proselyting.

7-    And people confuse me most, or all, or some of the time; “See how confused I am!”

8-  Confusion has always been but it seems to be getting worse.

9-    And God is never the author of it.

10-With Matthew 24 in mind we all know where we’re headed! Amen?

11-The wars and rumors of war are raging.

12-The Tsunami’s only added to it all.

83 TIMES IN THE BIBLE YOU CAN READ ABOUT CONFUSION:

1-  While constructing the Tower of Babel, there was confusion.

2-     Of course God brought that one about!

3-    Aaron brought about confusion over the Molten image; the golden calf.

4-     The whole city of Ephesus was filled with confusion.

5-     But the Bible says, “God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints”. 1^st. Cor. 14: 33

For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. James 3: 16

ONE OTHER SCRIPTURE: Jer. 3: 25

          We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the Lord our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God.

1-    There’s no wonder at the confusion in the United States of America today.

2-    The Courts can fine you 5000.00 for breaking an eagle’s egg.

3-    Or be imprisoned for stealing a sea turtles egg.

4-    And yet babies are being killed daily with little outcry.

TAKE THE SCOTT PETERSON CASE:

1-    The court ruled that he should die for his crime of killing his wife Laci and the unborn child Conner.

2-  And yet the same lawyers that pushed for the death penalty of Scott for Conner’s death.

3-  Will push that a woman has a right to kill her unborn child.

4-    If a Doctor has the mothers consent; they can commit “Fetal Homicide”.

5-    That confuses me!

I’M CONFUSED ABOUT HOMOSEXUALITY:

1-   Knowing what God says about the like’s man with man and woman with woman.

2-    How can they do that?

3-    Churches ordaining gay and lesbians as their ministers.

4-   Others already ordained, stepping forward and announcing they’re gay.

5-     They do need to be in church, but asking God for forgiveness.

6-     There’s confusion over same sex marriage.

7-     Living together without a marriage contract.

8-     But I understand that the law is being viewed again; cracking down on living together!

9-     Folks, God is not the author of confusion!

BUT THANK GOD THERE ARE SOME THINGS WE DON’T HAVE TO BE CONFUSED OVER:

1-    The name of Jesus may confuse some today;

2-    But to me; He was God’s only begotten Son, sent from Heaven to save His people.

3-    And our conversation ought to be in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Phil. 3: 20

WHO IS THE SAVIOR?

1-       Some believe Him to be Mohammed; the founder of Islamic religion.

2-       He is called the prophet of Islam; His followers are called Moslem’s!

3-       465 million Moslems believe Mohammed was the last messenger sent from God.

4-       But I have got good news for them today:

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

          Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

          Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

          Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name that they.

          For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father and he shall be to me a Son?

          And again when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

                    And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angel’s spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

1-      Jesus is the Christ; the very Son of God and there is none other; Give Him praise and glory!

JOSEPH SMITH:

1-     Some believe that he came to do what Jesus didn’t finish.

2-     Founder of the Mormon church;

3-     Received for the Lord the commandments on tablets of gold.

4-     Wrote the book of Mormons and today they believe it to be inspired by God.

5-     And to them it is esteemed as Holy Scripture.

6-     Every religion has a savior, but every religion is not always right.

THERE’S ONLY ONE SAVIOR FOR SALVATION AND HIS NAME IS JESUS!

1-    Paul told Timothy to look for the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Tim. 1: 10

2-    Titus called Him, the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior. 1: 4

3-    And again he spoke of “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ” 2: 13

4-    John the beloved said; “the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world” 1^ST. Jn. 4: 14

5-    Thank God, I know who Jesus is; and He lives in my heart today.

I’M NOT CONFUSED ABOUT SALVATION:

1.    Romans 10: 9-10 say’s that if thou shalt believe in thine heart and confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus Christ;  “thou shalt be saved”                      

2.    Not saved by joining this or any other church.

1-    Not saved by anything or what some human does.

2-    But we’re saved because of what Jesus did;

3-    And you must believe it to be saved! Amen?

4-    I’m not confused about salvation!

5-    Jesus told Nicodemus, “Ye must be born again”

I’M NOT CONFUSED ABOUT SERVING

1-       We’re commanded to serve the Lord with gladness!

2-       Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations…

3-       How many of you know that it’s FUN being SAVED?

4-       To render obedience and worship to our God!

5-       Serve Him gladly; live it every day! We’re bond-slaves to Him, Paul said.

6-       Let Him be a part of your every day living!

7-       This is the why for all the confusion today.

8-       God often time is not a part of daily living.

NO! WE CAN’T WORK OUR WAY INTO HEAVEN; NOR CAN WE EVER REPAY HIM:

1-    We’ll never be able to repay Him for what He has done for us.

2-    But I serve Him because I love Him.

3-    I want to serve Him because I know that Pay Day is coming.

4-    Beloved; serving God is not a drudgery; it’s Joy in the Holy Ghost.

5-    Thank God I’m not confused about serving.

I’M NOT CONFUSED ABOUT THE SACNTUARY:

1-    His Church; this church is built on the ROCK, and that rock is Christ Jesus.

2-    He purchased the church with His Precious Blood shed at Calvary.

3-    There are children today who have never been to church.

4-    Their parents won’t bring or even send them to Church.

5-    Isn’t that a shame for our day?

6-    There are folks today who only want the church when they have a wedding or a death.

7-    Others want the church for socials and fellowship or when something bad has happened.

8-    They have no idea what church is all about.

9-    And it is to serve in all these areas.

10- But above all else; “It’s where we come to worship our Heavenly Father”!

THE CHURCH IS GOD’S HOUSE:

1-     It’s where born again; blood washed people worship their Lord.

2-     Church is where the gospel is preached showing the lost a way out of their sinful living.

3-     The church is the only thing the Lord built while on this earth.

4-     And He built it on Love; And He built it with His shed Blood.

5-     And with His Great love; He formed this body; the church.

6-     And everything good on this earth has come from the Father of light;

7-     And the church is responsible for it happening.

AND YOU KNOW WHAT?

I’M NOT CONFUSED ABOUT WHERE I’LL SPEND ETERNITY! Amen?

1-    This world is in a fix; a mess is you please.

2-    But that doesn’t have to be you me!

3-    We don’t have to live in confusion all the time wondering about everything in the world.

4-    Thank God for Jesus who wipes all our sorrows and confusion; Amen?
