DEVIL, YOU CAN’T TOUCH THIS April 29, 2005 1St. John 3: 1- 3 INTRODUCTION: 1- SATAN, because of who he is; will never stop his attacks against the children of God. 2- For we have a now and we will have a hereafter with the Lord! 3- One day; we will spend Eternity in a “house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens”
LETS LOOK AT WHAT WE ARE NOW: 1- Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us that we should be called the sons of God. 2- Again He said; “But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God. Jn. 1: 12 3- Devil, You can’t touch this! Amen?
PAUL REMINDS US: The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the suffering of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory, which shall be revealed in us. LOOK UP SAINTS OF GOD; 1- Our Redemption draweth nigh! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 1ST. Jn 3: 1
THE HALF HAS NOT BEEN TOLD YET: 1- We’re going to see some suffering; but thank God the “VICTORY IS COMING”! 2- Devil, you can’t touch this! 3- 1- The world hates you because the world does not know the Father; “HIM”
JESUS SAID: “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you”! 1- The time will come when men will kill you and think themselves to do God a service. These things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me! 1- Devil, you can’t touch what the Lord has done!
OUR FUTURE IS DEPENDENT UPON HIM: “We shall be like Him!” 1- What a glorious Eternity awaiting the child of God! Amen? 2- Our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. Phil. 3: 20- 21 3- Devil you can’t touch that!
LOOKING AT THE SCRIPTURE: But we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be Like him; for we shall see him as he is. 1- Devil, you can’t touch that!
LUKE RECORDS THAT HE HAD A REAL, A VISIBLE, CORPOREAL BODY: Chpt. 24 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. HE ATE FOOD WITH THEM: “Have ye any meat?” 24: 41 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. And he took it, and did eat before them! 1- Devil, you can’t touch that! 2- “We shall be like Him”!
AND ANOTHER THING THE DEVIL CAN TOUCH IS THE RESURRECTION: “HIM, God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly” Not all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead 1- Devil, you can’t touch that! 2- One day we to shall be raised from the dead to live as He lives!
AND EVERYONE WHO HAS THIS HOPE IN HIM PURIFIES HIMSELF, JUST AS HE IS PURE: 1- Friends, we have an obligation to our Lord! 2- We have an obligation to live right, godly and righteously in Christ Jesus our Lord. 3- The Great Love that He has bestowed upon us all gives us the incentive to live right. 4- That through His Precious blood; we have received everlasting purification; 5- And that being in a positional sense. 6- And in our every day lives we are to come out from among the, and be ye separate and touch not the unclean thing. 7- And He said; He would receive us! 8- Devil, you can’t touch that!
DEVIL YOU CAN’T TOUCH HIS LOVE FOR ME: For God so loved the world that… 1- No one can touch the sacrifice He made for us all. HAS HE NOT? 1- Purchased your soul, washed away your sins and given you Eternal Life? 2- He has promised us our Reward in Heaven; 3- Devil, you can’t touch that!
BELOVED; HE HAS: 1- He has delivered us from sin and sinning and washed us clean in His blood! For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry. Abba Father. 1- Devil, you can’t touch that! 2- Sinner, Luke-Warm Christian, you can’t touch that! 3- We’ve been adopted into The Family of God! 4- We’ve been made heirs and joint-heirs with Jesus our Elder Brother! Amen? 5- Devil, you can’t touch that! 6- Nothing in this world can compare to what God has done for me!
I CAN LIFT MY EYES TOWARD HEAVEN: 1- And I can speak to Almighty God and know that He’s listening! 2- I know that He loves me; cares for me with His un-dying un-conditional love. 3- I know that He will come swiftly to my side when I need Him. 4- Devil, you can’t touch this!
IT DOESN’T MATTER IF THE WORLD NEVER KNOWS ME: 1- As long as I know that My name is written in the Lambs Book of life! 2- It really doesn’t matter how this old world may view me! 3- Just as long as I know that My name is there. 4- And I have a mansion awaiting me in Glory! 5- Devil, You can’t touch that!
WE MAY NOT LOOK LIKE MUCH OR APPEAR TO BE MUCH IN THE EYES OF THIS WORLD; 1- And all that is because we’re not of this world! 2- Our citizenship is in that ‘Far Country” Not built with human hands. 3- We’re traveling by faith, like Abraham to that Promised Land! 4- Heaven is our Home; where we will walk on Streets of Gold; and eat from the tree of life. 5- Devil, you can’t touch that!
I LOVE THE LORD; BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVE ME: 1- I want to live for Him while down here that I might live with Him Up there! AND ONE DAY SOON AND VERY SOON: 1- I’m gonna lay this old body down! 2- I’ve heard Paul say: We’re confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 1- Devil, you can’t touch that!
AND ON THAT GREAT RESURRECTION MORNING: 1- When all the dead in Christ shall rise! 2- I’m going to be re-united with this old body; and it won’t be the same anymore! 3- Devil, you can’t touch that! 4- I don’ t know what I’m going to be; but I do know that I’m going to be like Him. 5- Devil, you can’t touch that!
THIS OLD RESURRECTED BODY OF OUR’S: 1- It’s always been a mysterious body! 2- But even more a mystery when we’re resurrected to be with him; 3- Changed in the twinkling of an eye; we’ll have a glorious body! 4- We’ll have a body without spot, wrinkle or blemish, washed in the Blood of the Lamb. 5- Washed; made righteous and whiter than snow!
THE DEVIL CAN’T TOUCH SOME THINGS: 1- We’re going to take our flight and soar like an eagle to meet our Lord I the air. 2- And so shall we ever be with the Lord! 3- Devil, you can’t touch that!
AIN’T NO GRAVE GONNA HOLD MY BODY DOWN: 1- When that last trumpet sounds! 2- Death will have no power over me anymore! 3- Death will have been swallowed up in Victory! 4- Devil, you can’t touch that!
LET THE WORLD PARTY ON: 1- I’m going to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb! 2- And Devil, You can’t touch that! 3- This old world we’ll bid good-bye one day! 4- This world has nothing to offer but sin and darkness; and bondage to go with it.
BUT I’M GOING TO PRESENT MY BODY A LIVING SACRIFICE UNTO THE LORD: 1- I owe all I have and all that I am to the Lord! 2- But look what He’ll give us in return! 3- Devil, you can’t touch that!
BELOVED; HE GIVES US ALL THAT WE NEED: 1- He pours out blessings upon me that I cannot contain. 2- He causes a spring in my heel; and hope in my heart. 3- He leads me beside still waters; He restores my soul. 4- Devil, you can’t touch that!
HE PREPARES A TABLE BEFORE ME IN THE PRESENCE OF MINE ENEMIES: 1- When the Devil comes to try to destroy me! 2- He is there! 3- He leads me; He guides me: He keeps me! 4- And He gives His angels charge over me! 5- Devil you can’t touch that! 6- Give Him praise and glory! 7- Let’s worship the Lord!
